The HD0150 is an extremely versatile, highly accurate portable drilling machine. Designed to safely and efficiently drill or tap in situ holes. Available in two variations allowing a drive spindle to suit either ISO 40 tapered tooling, or parallel Ø40mm tooling.

Available in two variations allowing a drive spindle to suit either ISO 40 tapered tooling, or parallel Ø40mm tooling. This enables the utilisation of HSS twist drills, trepanning cutters, tapping adaptors and other tooling utilising these attachments.

The machine is equipped with an innovative lead nut arrangement (patent pending) which allows the drill to be subject to fast travel retraction, allowing it to be utilised on “peck drilling” operations. This design also allows for the blind drilling and tapping of a hole in a single setup, reducing operation time and increasing accuracy. The drill has been proven to accurately repeat the creation of Ø105mm holes, and tap holes up to M40 simply, accurately and quickly.

Several integrated safety systems have been designed into the development of this machine. An integrated telescopic guard reduces the risk of entanglement with the tooling when operational without compromising visibility of the workpiece. A combined automatic feed gearbox and integral measuring system allows operations to progress with minimal user interaction.

The machine also includes an integrated coolant system, which allows the direction of the flow to be fixed prior to operation and then flow to be created at a safe distance from the workpiece. Again, reducing the user interface during operation and minimising the risk of incident.
