Kit – Tube Sheet Machining Kit FXB6-30 & FP14-45
Tube sheets have holes drilled to accept a series of tubes inside of an enclosed tubular pressure vessel.
These pressure vessels, commonly referred to as shell and tube heat exchangers, are the most common heat exchangers used in oil refineries and large chemical plants.
Silk can supply ‘Tube Sheet Machining Kits’ for our SILK Portable Machines for machining heat exchanger tube bundle gaskets. The machines can be mounted in the bundle ID or directly to the Tube Sheet.
The SILK Portable machine kit toolpost can be used to machine the front and rear face gasket areas. The 90° extension is easily attached to the toolpost carriage of the existing machine where automatic feeds drive the radial surface requirements.
